Finally getting thru VanDrunen's "Natural Law and the Two Kingdoms." VanDrunen interacting w/ reformers. Reformers interacting w/ Aquinas (Summa 104 - Old Law / New Law). Aquinas is quoting Aristotle (Nico. Ethics 9.8). Aristotle is quoting "the proverbs." It's references all the way down. 😭

And Aristotle's argument that you should love yourself best means I now have a hilarious mental picture of him and Ayn Rand agreeing on something.
