Oh yes we are moving back in September! We don’t want to move our crappy couch. We’re going to be in Ontario but I assume Costco is pretty consistent.

Ahhh I love it. I like the look of a lot of their couches, and the reviews seem to be consistently good. Definitely leaning that way, since we have the membership. Thanks! :D

Interesting crossover potential though

Yeah we won’t buy a sofa bed again. I am always super tempted by the Costco couch when we go. I wonder if the Canadian ones are comparable…

Also good to know. I wonder if Costco couches is good…

Ugh good to know. Our current couch was like 1000US from an outlet and is falling apart so want to avoid that again!

We are so very interestingly different 😂

That would be extremely helpful! Damn geography. I’m gonna go ask at the liquor store and the Costco and then just give up and buy some.

I do have the Uhaul and movers on this end booked, just trying to find somebody for the Canada end. Also have to figure out the logistics of getting our keys and getting husband and all the animals and our stuff across the border.
Today is the day I said I would start packing us up to move and hhhhhhhhreerrnnnanasghhhdddjjhyhfffdffgbbh

My take on Starbucks is if you want what Starbucks does, virtually any local boutique coffee shop will be better and if you just want "normal" coffee, Dunkin Donuts really does have the best drip coffee you can reliably get basically anywhere. There's really no reason to go there.

Nifty thread
Our dishwasher finally bit the dust so I got to do my favorite middle-aged dad thing: picking out appliances we want instead of what was already in the house. I'm a technologist who's also handy, so let's talk about the appliance myth...

I hope there are many whipped cream whisks awaiting her there

Ooh new one to me. Thanks for the tips!

There’s one bar in the middle of the seat that just always got me on the two older ones. But it was perfect for our Boston apartment. I’ll have to look at the suburbia ones; we are gonna be in Ottawa technically but it feels very burbs

Sending hugs! I had a couple doses of paxlovid before my liver went nope!! and the rebound was not fun so hopefully her course will be mildler overall.

I was wondering about structube, didn’t have that one in NS. what about the brick?

This is the couch I had in my first Boston apartment and then got second hand from a friend and I did love it but it maxed out at about 8 years of use. I’m kind of hoping to get something a little more durable but maybe that’s a fool’s errand

Canadians, where do we buy a nice couch?
