I will say re: second-rate intellect that Thomas is a smarter jurist than most of the GOP colleagues he has served alongside.
This is not to disagree that he’s a second rate intellect, just to say Roberts is at best third-rate.
Kavanaugh is the truest beneficiary of affirmative action on the court - a bog-standard mediocrity and legacy hire who people assume must have merit because he's squirmed along a glide path through America's most elite institutions
