I think a lot of furries simply forget taxis exist or are too young to actually understand what they are in a space that swiftly became dominated by rideshare apps.
yeah! maybe sometimes I get a beat to shit taxi Camry with a billion miles, but my driver knows where to go (because they do it everyday!!!) when I tell them the destination (even clarifying if there’s two similar properties!), and in the end it’s cheaper and more money goes to them directly!
I still remember that time I went to MFF and a freaking LIMO was cheaper than a taxi or Uber so we got one. Arrived to the hotel in style. Must have been a slow time for the limo company!
yesss, I checked out limo rentals for a furry Vegas trip and it was like $20 over a standard taxi AND they gave us a bottle of champagne
(probably more Vegas-specific buuuut, always worth it to check out black car/limo transportation companies in the area!)
The Pittsburgh mass transit system has a very cheap shuttle bus that runs directly from the airport to downtown a few blocks from the con center. They can accommodate large numbers of fursuit bags too. I've always used them whenever flying into Pittsburgh
