1994: internet is ephemeral 2004: internet is forever 2014: only internet is forever. Print pubs and owning physical media are for idiots 2024: your favorite shows have been removed for tax breaks and private equity firms bought up the websites you worked for and deleted your entire life's work

Honesty, I kind of had a similar weird experience. If 2022 was when I figured out YMO, 2023 was branching out thanks to LITA’s Pacific Breeze 3. I liked YLT and New Pornos, totally forgot about U.S. Girls, was meh about new Cornelius and adored The 3 Clubmen EP. Not a lot to take away from 2023.

Very cool to talk to a VCU class today about copy editing, getting into journalism, and setting boundaries. I wish I had their mindset instead of a grindset.

this is exactly why i still buy discs in 2023. it's crazy to think that we are reaching a point where piracy will be the only option to own media once dvds and blu-rays are gone.

Imagining a world where legislators didn’t prefile and were actually restricted to how many bills they could introduce.
Virginia's General Assembly won't be meeting until January, but that hasn't stopped some lawmakers from prefiling pieces of legislation they hope to tackle when they reconvene in Richmond. What's in some of the prefiled bills? Reproductive rights, gun legislation, environmental issues and more!
Looking ahead to January: General Assembly bills start trickling inwww.vpm.org Virginia’s legislators have started to circulate key bills and resolutions they want to tackle come January.
