Kind of astounding that even the ostensible business republicans like Roberts do not understand or probably more likely do not care that markets rely on the rule of law.
Better to understand the GOP as a messianic doomsday cult engaged in an orgy of cruelty. All of the stuff about business and fiscal discipline is window dressing at this point
I’m of the opinion that they do know, but are extremely confident that they - and their financial interests - are insulated & protected from any potential fallout.
