What I see as the anti-voting switcheroo: find someone who is saying that the outcome of elections can make things drastically worse, then mock them for "believing in electoralism," even though the issue at play is avoiding negatives rather than gaining positives, two vastly different things

Is voting a meaningfully direct means toward changing the underlying political economy foundation of our society? Almost certainly not. Is voting still important to do in order to not stack the deck against yourself for all the other ways you are trying to bring about change? Certainly yes.

"it's cringe to care whether Donald Trump is elected president again" is just a bizarre thing to think and say imho if you are engaged in non-electoral means of improving society. Do I want the Baltimore Abortion Fund I give my monthly donation to to be raided by the Trump DoJ? No I do not.
