Yes I, incorrectly, call spiders bugs. Yes I, incorrectly, call all invertebrates bugs. I know they are not bugs. . . . . . But they also is bugs. 😜

I'm a big proponent of using bugs to mean all arthropods. It's the closest to how I see most people use the term, and forms a nice phylogenetic group.
