Preparing for storms & rain as Beryl is on its way. Should have everything we need:
-Generator
-Fuel
-Water
-Food
-Phone charger
And most important:
-Fancy, new, very bright book light
We also prepared our extra room for the 2 stray cats to wait out the storm, if they want/don't kill each other
Beryl hit us on Wednesday [I'm in Jamaica]. This is a good list. Tape up windows if you need to, invest in a power bank, a separate flashlight, a battery powered radio, candles, and even a whistle. You'd be surprised. Sometimes those things come in handy. Stay safe, friend. 🌻

I have all of those- the radio we have also runs on solar & hand-cranking- EXCEPT for the whistle... Thank you, that's a great idea and I'll get one for the next (inevitable) storm!
Thanks. We're safe, thankfully, but some parts of the island were devastated. Take care. Being in "hurricane [and earthquake] alley" is annoying, but gotta deal as best as we can.
Theoretically, no. It's supposed to hit south of us but we'll be on the "dirty" side so it's going to be wet & messy, with a chance of tornadoes. And thanks! 🤞🏼
