Teddy Roosevelt was shot in the chest and finished his speech. If it was his ear, he would have stayed after to race two horses in a “mule sprint” and win the Whole Chicken Eating Contest. Running off stage after an ear-graze is the most Woke thing that’s ever happened in a presidential election.

I can't really stress enough how much southern historians rolled their eyes at this book when it came out.

What they want is to oppress others and be applauded for it, pats on the back and another round at the bar, hosannas in their name, etc etc, and what they cannot stand is that when they do it people think they are assholes.
