I can't see their insignia in this photo; but I know by their acts and formation this is Strategic Response Group (SRG). Ostensibly, SRG was created a counter terrorism unit of NYC police. Their role now is almost exclusively repression of street protest.

One cop told me they knew the encampment was cleared because of the NYU Hillel event happening at Paulson Center this evening. Said it was "fucked up" they were being called in to arrest students because of a fundraiser.
