Seeing the summer game showcases has really convinced me that the "triple-A" action-adventure-shooter games industry are in real trouble and creatively bankrupt. Everything looks like either Fortnite or an Unreal 5 tech demo, and you know how it all plays.

As soon as I saw that Doom guy the shield I knew, they were going to lean more into parries and traversal, making it more like everything else and less like Doom. I know people love the aesthetic, but how many metal album covers do we need to play? Especially if it could be Assassins Creed 666?

And the less said about Dragon Age the better - it may be a personal thing but I really dislike the Fortnite/Overwatch aesthetic, it makes everything look like a phone game. There are many great games for all platforms, but the biggest studios are in rough shape.
