Hey amphibian inclined BlueSky folk. I just found a red hoppy toad in my garden and I’ve never see that before ever in my slice of SC now nor growing up here.

Girl loves red hoppy toads! They are the best kind of toads! She had a red hoppy toad. He was so clever! She would put her hands up as a barrier and he would jump over it and then he would turn around and jump back in the other direction. He understood it was a game. Red hoppy toads are the best!
I think the Boy said that it's a common mutation. But also that the hoppy red ones are more sickly/fragile. But yeah we find the red ones here in Virginia.
