Thank you. I sand it quite thoroughly, so it usually is. I love that aspect of wood pieces, I feel like they should make you want to touch them, use them, interact with them.
It's lovely when the material and finish adds that extra dimension. I made a toilet flush mechanism recently (the old one broke and was waaay over-engineered) and sanded it up to basically glass-smooth just because it feels nice to run your finger along.
