This shit fucking hurts. Watch your fingers when using a Chinese cleaver to cut garlic. It’s new to me and I’m still getting used to the balance and weight of it and it slipped. Yes I know not the ideal tool for the job but it was perfect for smashing it and then I just wanted a rough chop.

FWIW I only cut like a lentil size out of the corner of the pinky. No biggie.
