Love that Wein/Simonson spread. I don't think I realized that the Pirate ship and "he touched her hand" bits were also lifted from Peanuts. I've always wondered if Walt was an inspiration for Bill Watterson's "comic book" homage style. I bought detective comics #500 off of a wire rack at a 7-11. Alan Brennert's "To Kill a Legend" was also very good.
