This quote seems eerily apropos right now. I love that I knew this was Pynchon after “yes and a” even though I haven’t read Vineland. da GOAT Pynchon is also the goat for writing his first two books about how African imperialism is the rot at the heart of Europe made flesh I wrote my BA thesis on Gravity's Rainbow.
