PSA: Paying for a subscription on the crypto version of OnlyFans using a public blockchain does not give you "true privacy", regardless of what the models there might say.

I generally avoid blockchain enthusiasts but have truly surprised a number of them by pointing out that their immutable public ledger is in fact a trail of evidence trackable to individuals.

And then someone says "but tumblers" and i say that if you have priors, having a bunch of crypto that came directly from a tumbler would probably be considered suspicious enough to warrant further investigation.

Hmm, I wonder if a machine that cleans up the provenance of money would be illegal. A money laundry if you will.

The FBI, with analytics help from Chainalysis, does a good job of tracking Bitcoin addresses, wallets, et al. Immutability OTOH is still in play tho.

Yep. And people do get busted for crimes that happened *years ago because they finally spent the crypto they acquired at the time.
