For what it’s worth, I really dislike it when people do that shit. Writing off parts of the country for having corrupt leaders doesn’t help anyone living in those places. It’s just a way for people who don’t live there to pat themselves on the back.

Agreed! Considering how many former blue states now have book bans or captured state governments, they should see misjustice against a southern state as a threat to their own freedoms!

I think people want to believe that what is happening other places can’t happen where they live, which is understandable. But then it can morph into “but it isn’t happening here and it is happening there so we must be special.” And that’s not it.
