Looking for a new thing to be a pedant about? The two main types of turtles aren’t turtles and tortoises. It’s “hidden neck” turtles which tuck their heads straight back into their shells (box turtles, tortoises, sea turtles, etc) And “side neck” turtles which tuck their heads in to the side.
