Now, an old stone wall is just bare rock. But with sheep gone, wild native trees are sprouting all around. As they close in, raising humidity levels, a great diversity of mosses, ferns, etc, will race to colonise. Nothing beats witnessing a rainforest ecosystem form. 🌎

Side bar - when I was in elementary school my family lived in a small town in CO. My mother worked for the sheriff's department as a secretary. I was regularly present at the office and sat at an empty desk right outside the Sheriff's actual office. I was a regular there. /1
It's incredibly difficult to convince people that police are regularly brutal, as a matter of course, and simply identifying yourself for onlookers and anyone filming is good and necessary. Make it clear they're beating up a professor and not an "outside agitator"
