and California Rep. Scott Peters now, per Politico. side note I love how nobody in the industry outside of Politico respects their absurd POLITICO all-caps stylization
CVS sending me a garbled infographic to inform me of the failure of their attempts to contact my doctor (I did not ask them to do this) is somehow the funniest thing I've seen all day. Attempt #3 Unsuccessful To Contact Your Doctor
I'm going to skip over the racial dog whistles and just point out that Black Westchester voters strongly favored Bowman. (the Westchester part of this map only shows the early vote, which was better for Latimer than election day.)
east from Clovis to Amarillo, east from Hobbs to Lubbock, south from Hobbs to Midland, southwest from Alamogordo to Chaparral and connections to El Paso/Las Cruces/points north (I have bar prep exercises I don't want to do)
more than 24 hours later and most of New Jersey politics is still too scared of George to say jack shit about the fact that the all-powerful boss of a region of more than 1 million people now faces thirteen felony counts for racketeering and extortion
George Norcross just sauntered in and sat down in the front row at the press conference announcing his felony indictment. www.youtube.com/live/RdNyZrB...
I thought I could beat the closing doors and get on to a subway car last week and the subway car strongly disagreed. I love having the glass bones and paper skin disease

just had to type out the quote "Paul can go to hell with gasoline drawers" for my coverage of a congressional election because that is a thing that a congressional candidate who holds public office said on the record in response to a reporter's question
if you actually read the article and the Bloomberg piece linked therein, the imo clear conclusion is that the Fed had the authority but declined to act for political reasons because it was still in a defensive posture after the 2018 rollback and four years of a Republican executive branch.
is it the best movie? no. but it is a procession of iconic actresses delivering insane line reads in over-the-top 90s fashion and I am but a simple homosexual
Who is the most prominent, national embarrassment from your state?
International entries welcome, and can be national or provincial as makes sense, follow your heart
Andy Kim has won the Democratic convention in Atlantic County—normally aligned with the Murphy-supporting Norcross machine—by a staggering 74%-26%, giving him the party line in Atlantic City and its environs, where voters are pretty loyal to the line
speaking of Atlantic County, it appears delegates are required to pay to attend, and only delegates who attend may vote. I am told this violates DNC rules and is possibly illegal
tomorrow is Atlantic County, Thursday is Cumberland County, and next Saturday is Salem County, the final convention. both Atlantic and Cumberland are likely to be competitive; Salem is Norcross territory, tiny, and lineless, so basically irrelevant (no offense to Salem County)
Tammy Murphy rejected a deal to share the line with Andy Kim because she had an internal whip count rosy enough to feel cocky about Monmouth, which has to mean dozens and dozens of her supposed supporters secretly voted Kim. what a colossal disaster for the Murphys newjerseyglobe.com/congress/mon...
holy shit guys it wasn't even close. 57% for Andy Kim, 39% for Tammy Murphy. the governor showed up in person to back his wife here and a crowd of party activists *soundly* rejected them.
for the second time this cycle, Democrats will gain a House seat from court-ordered VRA redistricting, this time in Louisiana. plus: College Dems get threats, Eric Adams gets a new challenger, and Ravi Bhalla and Ilhan Omar get that fucking BAG
