Eighteen months(?) into the Beaufort 11 discourse, I am still surprised when I see “AI” commentary that feels grounded in real life, that contextualizes its numbers, that feels honest about the kinds of technical details and human power relations that actually motivate its interest.

More bluntly, I keep seeing ear-ringingly, mouth-puckeringly, eye-wateringly bad “AI” takes with motives I agree with. Stop doing that. Start having good takes with motives I agree with. Thank you.
