Rufo’s response: It’s very relevant that his right-wing agitating is being bankrolled by “some of the most successful people in America.” We are talking about billionaires working to dismantle education, journalism, organized labor, government, science, and even democracy to protect their fortunes.
NEW: Important Context and The Center for Media and Democracy looked at the funding behind far-right activist Chris Rufo and found billionaires and plenty of dark money. We asked Rufo why big money would support him and his (lucrative) work. His response: “I ❤️ billionaires.”

The left hasn’t changed. Maybe you have.

A really good example of this is when Biden’s CDC worked to conceal the level of viral spread as Omicron wave was ending. They changed the metric for the map and the color scheme.

NYT columnist: “I feel exactly the same way about communist protests as I do Nazi protests.” And that’s the problem with the NYT.

On Threads, Rep. Moskowitz tagged AIPAC on a post defending Israel’s siege of Gaza justifying the mounting civilian casualties, placing all the blame on Hamas. Last cycle, Moskowitz got $29,000 from AIPAC, including $10,000 from the organization itself.

The COVID-19 pandemic never ended. What did end was any pretense that our government is trying to protect Americans from this virus.

To recap: Dude suggests public wouldn’t tolerate NPIs for COVID and that’s why government gave up on them. I pointed out that CDC loosened its masking guidance despite polling showing high public support for masking. Then I linked to my reporting on how dark money worked to use NPIs as a wedge.

For months, western media was rooting for the end of China’s zero-COVID policy, publishing pieces about how the costs were too high, touting protests, etc. A NYT report today acknowledged that the end of zero-COVID resulted in mass infection and the deaths of a million people in China.

Great work here by the NYT editorial board validating bullshit right-wing moral panic.

This is pathetic on so many levels. Truly a joke.

This is why people are unhappy with the economy. This country is becoming an economic monoculture catered exclusively to the people at the very top. Everyone else is left to struggle as their earnings are funneled upward. What is the plan to do anything about this inequality?

It appears as though Dr. Martin Kulldorff, one of the authors of the Great Barrington Declaration, is no longer a professor at Harvard Medical School. For years now—since at least December 2021–he has been “on leave” from Harvard.
