The alleged home tree of the Wood Sprite known as Blood Maw. His favoured appeasements are brass buttons, bird skulls, sausages and libations of Toad-in-the-Bottle beer.

I don't know if this good form or not, but I really feel like this is one of the best bits of music I have ever composed. It really captures the atmosphere of those magical and haunted spaces. Those mysterious portals that transport us to those other places. It feels like Hoookland to me.

There are times when the tunnels beneath Coreham seem so many and so endless that you can start to take the idea of walking to St. Martin's Land seriously. When you've entered via a hillside and re-emerged half a mile way in a pub, your sense of geography expands. – #MattAdams

The best thing I ever did was stop looking g at the things I love with a critical eye and just learning to enjoy them again. I realised it is better to use that part of brain to point out inequalities and hypocrisy in this world, rather than complaining about a plot contrivance in Doctor Who.

I’ve been awfully inspired by @hookland.bsky.social today. I ended up writing some music inspired by it, David and @skionar.bsky.social — I walked the path of ghosts today. I was surrounded my spectres of the Island and of #Hookland

It’s a frosty morning here on the Island, Þorri danced through the streets last night. The sun is rising, but ever so gently, as is her want at this time of year. But, every lane way, every nook and every cranny welcomes the touch of warmth and light.

Having so little followers is very freeing; from 20k followers on Twitter to 70 here lets me feel like I can be as experimental as I like and also I don’t feel the pressure to post continuously. I love the feeling that I am just whispering into the void to those who maybe lucky enough to hear.
