I lived through the Atlantic City Trump 1980’s/90’s yrs. He screwed everyone. We helplessly watched while he destroyed businesses & families and threw lawyers at everything
In 2016 I kept hearing that Trump changed & wasn’t the same unethical conman, that he’d matured & we had to give him a chance.
My dad was incensed. He owned an Atlantic City subcontractors equipment rental business. Clients would come in & talk about being broke cuz Trump refused to pay them. They couldn’t pay us. Ppl took 2nd mortgages to do business with that asshole
He’s a lifetime criminal who needs to lose his freedom
So many ppl knew his real history, but Trump had a way of finding new ppl to con cuz everyone thought they were blessed to be around his financial genius, & they’d ride his coattails to wealth. He created a character and it’s still working.
He even named his son after his John Barron alias.
I tried to tell people about what happened in Atlantic City but it’s a small town I heard him defended with “Well, that’s your opinion” or “people change, that was a long time ago.” Voters liked and believe his self made billionaire crap. It’s the American dream story.
My guess is those are the same people who excused all the hateful, racist, bigoted stuff he openly spoke about and campaigned on by saying, "He's not serious," or "He can't possibly really mean that." Blah blah blah.
I grew up in Queens, where Trump was found guilty of racial discrimination, refusing apartments to black and Latin tenants, back in 1974.
He was always a wannabe wise guy racist criminal.
