The roads I have experienced in metro DC (sans Virginia) have overall been better quality than the roads I have experienced in metro Boston
I guess like the part of NOVA closest to DC has nice roads but farther out it starts to get bad
Snow+salt is very hard on roads, and I think DC has some light corruption around road work which means they are often nicer than they need to be. And at least within the District the cycling infrastructure is miles ahead of Boston

Yeah it was a MD driver that ran me off the road.
