Its Pinnacle@Duxton! I'm not connected to Singapore personally, but Singapore social housing is being studied here in California as our state explores doing social housing as well. The bottom part of the building is a couple of social housing buildings in Vienna, another city we've been looking at.
Used to be an urban planner myself; we used to do parks (among others). There is a park right behind MBS, which this very strongly reminds me of. 😊
Yes, the building at the bottom has elements of Karl Marx-Hof. 😊
How wonderful would it be to have this park in front of my own public housing flat 😊
yes! the normal writing of this phrase is "年年有餘" = a surplus every year, but the word for surplus 餘 is pronounced the same as the word for fish 魚.
Fish is a common dish during Lunar New Year for this reason.
年年有余 vs 年年有鱼, just that 鱼 here is Blahaj. Love it!
(Vaguely remember my wife telling me about the New Year pun. Totally didn’t think of it until you mentioned it 😊)
only twenty! and they all have *checks notes* good and secure locking mechanisms, security cameras, and taser armed women wandering around for security! Safest hotel in the world!
