Just watched Forrest Gump for the first time, and man I didn’t expect the needle drops to be almost as obvious and heavy handed as a Zack Snyder film

Yeah I remember it getting a lot of flack at the time for basically turning history into a Boomer theme park (and in retrospect a pretty crazy reactionary revisionist one)
