Something I noticed a lot during Trump is that the news read like a fantasy novel where Trump was the protagonist and everything that happened mattered only as story beats in his ultimately sympathetic and triumphant character arc.

part of why I want to push back against full Doomerism is that last month it looked like the EU was going to be plunged into a fascist revival and mass torment of immigrants was unavoidable. Now we have the UK stopping their foreign concentration camp idea and France knee capping the right.

Sal, for better or worse, was THE Marvel house style in the 1970s. Dude cranked out 3 books a month! Of course, they were all stock poses and the same 5 facial expressions, but hey they were easy to read. Makes Kirby's output in the 1960s even more astounding, because Jack never relied on formula.

It drives me nuts when people say we need to make sure poor people have access to AI. The entire schtick is focused on providing AI slop to the masses while ensuring the elites get real human professionals. Having a human teacher or doctor or lawyer cannot become a bespoke luxury for the wealthy.
