Government rejects Future for Local Government review recommendationswww.rnz.co.nz The report has found communities were not well-served by the relationship between central and local government.

"This evidence I don't like is ideology" says the minister who for vibes-based reasons is also forcing local government to reverse locally-supported evidence-based speed limit reductions.

I guess ultimately what this means is a few years' delay in progressing recommendations from the FfLG review while we await a change of government.
