Yesterday the Canadian Senate voted BillC41 into law. This now fixes 20 year issues w/ the terrorism act that would criminalize humanitarian aid. OG Billc41 proposed would of made things worse. @msf.bsky.social was instrumental in pushing for change in this bill... and it pass. We made history. ✊

It's sad to see Reddit go down the same road as Twitter. Has always been my favourite social media. People forget that social platforms are nothing without users, keep antagonizing your audience and they will leave.

@msf.bsky.social is asking the senate to support the current version of Canadian Bill C-41 on the basis that it creates a permanent, self-executing humanitarian exemption to Canada’s counterterror laws. Humanitarian aid shouldn't be a crime.

Heyo @mkbhd.bsky.social you mentioned a year ago that you would pledge to bring up sustainability and repair-ability in all future phone videos in order to put pressure on the market to move towards that. Noticing in last videos these topics aren't coming up. What happened?

Climate change is now. Canada is on fire as we speak. You shouldn't go outside in the nations Capital. This pic shows just how large and dense the smoke over Canada is right now. Yesterday it was thick in Montreal. You could taste it.

People have always had the power it’s time to help everyone stand up and say we’ve had enough

@pfrazee.com one thing I would love to see is auto delete feature. Other Fedi services have it. Having messages delete saves server drain and honestly I think the planet doesn't need to know my 2am rambling from 2014.

I learned that shipping noises cause whales to become stressed. Our human noises are causing them to feed less and to produce fewer calls. It's like whales are now living full time in a construction site and going insane. I won't lie, sometimes lie awake at night thinking about this. Sorry Gladis.
