Had a dream last night that I was organizing and cleaning up a bunch of metadata in iTunes; woke up feeling more relaxed than I have in weeks.

A business traveler’s lament: I should get extra points when I check out of one Marriott just to fly to another city and check into a different Marriott property. Next week: two Courtyards and a Marriott with a chance of a third Courtyard.

I had my 🌈 mask on at the casino tonight & started talking a guy at the tables about the local pride festival & how he & his wife go with their kids, all pretty normal so far, then he mentioned how he knows bunch of straight drag queens from back when he & his wife were really into 🍍.

I enjoy for the casino for a great many reasons, not the least of which are the characters I meet, particularly at locals casinos like the one near me. And boy howdy I met a character tonight.

My movie club discussed Cinema Paradiso this week & during our discussion I could not find an internet resource that lists all the movies they show throughout Cinema Paradiso. 1) we used to be a society full of niche blogs like this 2) someone needs to do this for me before I go down a rabbit hole.

I do not think Stereophonic is perfect but it was very good and I have been thinking about it since I saw it yesterday afternoon and that’s certainly something.

Now about the number: on Friday @inastraightline.bsky.social and I were walking out of Central Park and it was muggy and a halal cart was playing Empire State of Mind and I told her it was a perfect New York moment. And so yes, going to the first commercial with that was perfect.

Drove so far north that there are still daffodils blooming. It’s great.

I understand that a proper baked potato is baked in the oven and those are the fluffiest. However, sometimes I’m just hungry and it’s far easier to microwave a russet potato (poke holes in it first) for like 7 minutes, add cheese and etc, and dinner.
