the cis women who recognize our shared sisterhood and make the time to see us for who we are as individuals while holding out a hand in solidarity are so fucking dear to me if this is you thank you i love you
Days after I came out to a cis lady friend - well before I had really taken external concrete steps to transition - she messaged me a "Happy Galentine's Day!" message for the first time since I've known her. It was so small but meant so much
when I was in rehab last year, there were only 3 women, of which only I was trans, and the other two always stood in solidarity with me, and I'm eternally grateful for that. I might not have made it if not for them 🙏
My boyfriend and I were talking about this. There is no no world where I pass, but there are CIS women who see my name tag, see my dress, see a little bit of work I can do around all the facial hair and bulk, and they reach out to me. And it is everything to me.
