Saint Paul. Not a real doctor; real worm. I've done radio for kids for a weirdly long time. Not your lawyer, maybe your adjunct law professor. Sparetherock.com, recreationandrisk.com he/him; my views only here, of course

I too was the first in my family to attend law school and interview with fancy firms, and managed not to be weird about water options at dinner and, like, silverware

Mostly it all puts one in mind of that whole “Life finds a way” thing, except in this case it’s “Adult-oriented businesses find a way”

I would like to live in considerably less interesting times. If I realize, oh no, that's too boring, I have books awaiting me.

TIL that, at least in the ‘70s, adult-themed businesses in Saint Paul were known as “conversation parlors.” (There’s now a very cool lamp store in the building; the owner knew some but not all of the history so I poked around and found this.) www.newspapers.com/article/star...

Student: I'm thinking of going to law school... Me: Why? Student: Why do I want to be a lawyer? Well - Me: No, I mean, why even bother at this point? Do we even have "law" anymore? Student: Me: No, it's okay, go ahead with whatever unrealistic thing you were about to say. I'll pretend with you.

If anyone would have an incentive to be against the use of fossil fuels, it’d be those guys, I suppose, and I’m glad they’re out on the speaking circuit

It’s neat how Fox has the audio and video out of sync for Copa America; very artistic vibe

OK Go uses rather a lot of confetti. This isn’t even probably 20% of what was swept up.

Probably my favorite part of the New Pornographers show was Dena returning from the restroom and affectionately rubbing the arm of the guy standing two feet to my right, half a head taller than I am. He was, as she notes, wearing glasses, so the confusion was understandable.

I don’t mean to be difficult about this, because I understand that Ticketmaster takes my personal information very seriously, and I’m sure that’s sincere, but just doing the math, it’s been 47 days since they saw that my information was compromised and they just got around to emailing me today.
