The Supreme Court cannot judge whether pressuring state officials to change their vote count and, when that failed, conspiring to submit fraudulent electors, is an "official" act.
It sends the question back to the lower court to decide whether Trump's conduct "qualifies as official or unofficial."
Anything is ok, as long as you can point to something, anything, no matter how tenuous, showing it was an official act.
But an "unofficial" crime? Not okay.
