Day 2 in Melbourne. Sunshine, 15,000 steps and several coffee stops.

Seen in a museum exhibition today, makes me feel old. I had forgotten that we had the Attack of the Mutant Camels game, hours of fun as a teenager.

Loving walking around Melbourne. Over here visiting family but easily distracted by the laneways and cafes.

Just had to try this drop from Garage Project. Not sure if the name was intentional or not, but the Nelson Sun Club is a naturist venue in one of New Zealand's sunniest regions.

While it’s only a few days shy of the shortest day, and the daylight hours will be getting longer, we still get some nice weather. Too cold to embrace naturism outside but a nice day to get out of the house.

It’s a bit windy today in Pilot Bay, but not everyone is disappointed with the weather.

About 15 months ago I bought a camera, which was only ever going to be an introductory camera while I learned the ropes. Yesterday, I upgraded to a Canon EOS R7. Dead chuffed with the results. 📷

Sitting in the outside bath at our holiday accommodation with a glass of red, I could get used to this.

Arrived at an Air BnB after dark last night. This was the view that greeted us this morning.

I have a question for photographers out there. I am currently considering a new Camera and can't decide between a Canon EOS R7 (ASP-C) or Canon EOS R8 (Full Frame). They are a similar price and I am paralysed by analysis. I would like to hear from people who have used either.

I have never seen the Southern Lights before, and TBH never expected to see them from as far north as Tauranga.

My collection of sci-fi weapons has just increased. Going to have to find some way of displaying them. Not easy when you live with a pacifist.

Went for a short hike this morning to Omanawa Falls. Over 750 steps on the trail, so my legs now feel like jelly. Halfway in, the defibrillator was a welcome site, but the falls were spectacular, better than I managed to capture in the photo. Glad I did it, but a lot of cursing at the time.

My partner and I disagree on the issue of how to make a peanut butter sandwich. One of us butters the bread and the other one doesn’t. What do you think? should you put butter (or margarine) on the bread of a peanut butter sandwich?
