I never learned how to use excel so my sins are all python-related.

excel is just happy little rectangles. far less scary than python.

I use it a lot to generate SQL... but I also use SQL to generate SQL. I wonder if I could use Excel to generate Excel. 🤔

as an ex-consultant I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Excel being used to generate entire database-mapped ORMs. All those atrocities will be lost in time, like tears in a data center

I once worked for a company that had invested 10 years into building a custom CRM and Accounting system on an Excel shell. It was a fucking monster, but it worked.
