Hi Mark @chadbourn.bsky.social I will be interested to discover the numbers affected and what action is being taken in view of the large number of people affected by the failure to receive postal ballot papers. I made a formal complaint and have been promised a response by my council by 18 July.

Interesting stats from the Guardian: An estimated 10million people registered for a postal vote this year, up 20% on 2019 Data from HoC shows “turnout” of postal voters is exceptionally high, at more than 83% in the past 4 elections, representing 20% of the total number of valid votes cast.

Saw someone turned away for not having ID despite ALL the notices, emails, messages, etc. so clearly the message is still missing some people. Luckily I think they could go home and get theirs easily enough. Bloody Tories. BRING YOUR ID TO VOTE!
