Leaders need to signal the gravity of the situation to the electorate.

This is actually a good thing, regardless of the pretty obvious outcome, the articles and hearings will generate media coverage about what the court did and put Republicans on the defense about whether they think a President is immune from criminal acts. Also throws water on the debate drama

Impeachment of federal judges is the only way to remove them. Unless of course the president wants to flex some immunity muscles.
