If you're using a custom domain already, and you want your own website to redirect to your Bluesky profile too:
Set your domain to be a CNAME of `redirect.bsky.app` and we'll redirect your domain to your Bluesky profile URL.
The handle redirect to a profile feature is cool, but specifically w/ a custom domain AS a handle, I'd think a domain owner would generally prefer that to go to their own site rather than a social media profile
Maybe w/ a subdomain it might be desirable but then that just makes a handle even longer
Once federation (loads of smaller individual or community owned social medias that share posts between each other) becomes a feature and users move from this instance to another one, having the ability to create a link that instantly redirects that doesn't need to be updated is a lot easier
Users should add so-called ALIAS/ANAME records for their apex domains as CNAME records are not allowed. Still, I wonder how you'd prepare the TLS server certificates for users' domains on your redirector.
it automatically generates a letsencrypt certificate. this workw because it can prove control over the domain name b/c the cname essentially delegates to a bsky controlled server. example: bsky.wbolster.nl

If you're gone to the trouble to get a domain, likely you also publish at that domain--and you think a "feature" that will redirect away from that is...good?
To add a custom domain redirect, go to your DNS settings (at your web host or domain registrar) and add a CNAME record with the following values:
HOST NAME: bsky
TARGET: redirect.bsky.app
Once these changes take effect, the subdomain should redirect to your Bsky profile.
