my grandpa passed in 2009 but during his lifetime he helped found an orphanage in Piedras Negras, Coahuila and every year my family would spend a weekend diligently sorting, portioning and packing up bulk food that he would then drive down and give to the sisters at the orphanage
Y’know I didn’t want to presume but like, the flavor of practical and institutional charity is just something that you very very rarely see Protestants doing.
