I always point to Baldur's Gate 3 as proof that that adage is pure bullshit. It's probably one of the wokest games ever made and it was a smash fucking hit.

It’s almost like when media tries to be more inclusive it appeals to more people or something Wild concept, I know :V

The only reason anyone can argue “go woke go broke” is that there’s more to appealing to a large audience than inclusivity. If your game is inclusive, but it’s not enjoyable to play, then inclusivity won’t make it a success.
