who in France asked for a burger sucré

As much as France likes to cultivate an image of good food and culture, they're also the place that gave us the abomination known as the French Taco.

The French tacos are good! Admittedly they do not in any way resemble tacos, but as a drunk food I'd rate them alongside a kebab.

It's entirely possible that they're better in France or that I've been extremely unlucky but the two times I've had them here in Belgium, they were stodgy greasy and incredibly heavy things which left me feeling ill afterwards

That sounds about right. The grad students here were proudly telling me that a big one could reach 3000 calories, which is an Everest I have not attempted to summit.

I made the mistake of trying a large one the first time, it reminded me that I wasn't 20 anymore and I didn't have dinner that evening 🙃

Trash food is also a valid art form

We've seen a huge rise in fast food since 2020 unfortunately

I'd feel less bad about this if it wasn't using (what appears to be at least) the standard McD's hamburger bun
Avatar
That's just decorative sugar beads like a classic brioche sucré. Trying to be playful in mimicking the appearance of a standard burger bun.

*sighs* I would. Eat. The nutella burger.

About one time in three that I try it, the McDonalds in my city has somehow run out of beef, so the staff are just brawling with people. French excellence! So I am not super surprised they are chaotic at all levels.

(translation in alt text is wrong, it’s “our first sweet burger”, my bad)

I prefer the translation "Sugar Burger." Rolls off the tongue.

They don’t have it here, I think you have to blame the French for that one
