I don’t think people realize how arguing what’s happening now is the “best case” people can expect in our system just sounds like a call to burn the whole damn thing to the ground.
My contention is that a party composed of people who openly express a desire to glass a region is not going to be a break on things and will not oppose anything else. The best case there is what is currently happening, and it’s all downhill from there. There’s no better outcome if they win.
Basing an argument on the assumption people should recognize how good they’ve got it amidst a literal genocide is really just basing an argument on the idea people should be happy they’re not the people currently under the gun.
If this is their argument then my calculation starts to become “what choice will lead to the destruction of America the fastest?” Because if this right now is the best case then we should be wiped off the map
I decided that going forward my response to anyone who says “the Dems will kill less Palestinians than the GOP” is “Ok, are you willing to say that to the face of a Palestinian mother whose children are starving?”
