I read the transcript, i get the sentiment and trust me i’m not a fan of Alito or Thomas but I’m struggling with this one. If it were ‘the right will win’ then yeah that would be confirmation. But this doesn’t feel like that statement

From afar one might have thought Supreme Court justices shouldn’t have direct knowledge or management of shareholdings or other investments due to the obvious potential for conflicts of interest, and they should be held in a blind trust or similar arrangement. Silly old me.

This is so deeply disturbing. Alito’s behavior is on par with flying a confederate flag in March of 1861.

We might want to see if he has a third home.

He doesn’t understand what being a judge means. He thinks it’s like being in Congress, but with no rules.
