Are you trying to tell me some South American soccer officials aren't 100% on the up and up? Why I never!

Dunno if you watched Spain-Germany, but that was one of the few high-level matches which lived up to the billing, especially after Spain went ahead early in the 2nd. Definitely worth catching the replay if you missed it!

Damn yeah that was a banger of a match. Germany should’ve won in regular time (Haavertz should land that chip) but credit to Spain, that last goal was pure will and desire to move on.

Germany is my son’s favorite national team. The game was great and of course disappointing. It really felt like they could have pulled it off several times. My son was just hoping they could make it to penalty kicks, where he was confident they could dominate. Alas…
I am at a café in Germany with a big TV outside having a beer with my son (he’s 10 and having orangina), and we are watching Germany play Spain in the Euro ‘24 tournament. This is borderline unbeatable (as long as Germany wins).

To be fair, Richards fucked that one up, yellow card or not you need to immediately either kick that ball away or stand over the top of it so Uruguay can’t quick kick it from the direct spot. Refs will bring it back if it’s 5-6 yards forward but if they immediately spot it, game on.
