This is the dynamic with most streets stuff, unfortunately. The kinds of people who drive everywhere are also the ones who dedicate all their time to calling their reps to complain about parking, while normal people enjoy thinks like open streets and outdoor dining silently.
Have heard more rage from more otherwise non-political New Yorkers about congestion pricing being paused than about nearly any issue in the last few years. Hochul fucked up big time and whoever told her this was good politics should be fired.

There’s a good lesson to learn here about also calling your reps for the programs you like instead of just the ones you don’t like, but now’s not the time for that. Hochul’s phone lines opened five minutes ago and it’s time to call again. (518) 474-8390 is the number to let her know this sucks.

The automated message says they're backed up for 90 minutes and to call back later.

Did you leave a message or ask for an agent?

Asked for an agent. I had to wait, but at least I got to talk to a guy who sounded miserable!

As a New Jersey resident, do I have a dog in this fight or should I be cheering on my brethren in the city?

You need to push back on Murphy's awful lawsuits and try to force the state to better fund NJT.

If you have any fast links on this I'd be glad to do so later in the day!!!

All I can suggest is to contact Hudson County leaders and voice support of plan and against the lawsuits. More car traffic helps no one.
