Every time I bike to the office I rediscover that if the person who designed the bike lane interchange between the Brooklyn Bridge and FiDi was a traffic engineer, they would have fired them
I'm not being hyperbolic here either, you have to make a U-turn through oncoming bike traffic trying to get to the bridge, then use the pedestrian sidewalk space, and then cross traffic speeding to get on the bridge and tourists, plus several bus lines. It's a nightmare.
There’s a stretch of bike lane near the UN that suddenly becomes the off-ramp for the FDR without any warning. I swear there are parts of the City that were explicitly designed to kill bikers.
