It's the Fourth, and I was inspired to revisit BLOW OUT by this fine article. One thing that really knocked me out was how much the art direction and costuming leans into the red, white, and blue motif. Even the tie John Lithgow is wearing when he murders the prostitute is red, white, and blue.
